Learning log inside classroom  week 3

17/06/2556

Today, this is my third in curriculum and learning management in English. I have learned about teaching method that my friends presented. They presented about Task based learning, Project based lerning, listening, speaking, writing, and reading teaching.

First, Task Based Learning means learning to focuses on workload or learning that the students have learned from practice workload. And use this knowledge to perform the tasks assigned to accomplish. The teacher must have the feedback of the work. That is inductive learning.
Secound,Project Based Learning is learning to use the issue as an incentive to the students the need to pursue knowledge to solve problems. Emphases on the students decide what they want in pursuit of knowledge. And know how to
Third,Listening teacning,  Listening skills are vital for learners. Listening is the most skill frequently used. Learners need practice the skills and ability to listen and understand the message has been listening. Teachers should have the knowledge and techniques teaching listening skills. There are three steps for the listening process 1. Pre-listening <give information> 2. While-listening <practice>3. Post-listening <write a summary>
Fourth, Speaking teaching, speaking skills in English. Focus on Accuracy, Vocabulary, Grammar, Patterns. So, activities with the learners to practice speaking skills. They focus on the activities that the students need to practice, or by the sentence structure speaking majority.
Fifth, Reading teaching they presented about Reading skills in English is a skill that can be trained to the learner and abilities better. Teachers should have the knowledge and techniques for teaching reading skills to students.
Last,Writing teacning, Writing is a communication to others to know by text. Writing skills need to start by creating a system of writing from Controlled Writing to Less Controlled Writing and to  Free Writing. Teachers should have the knowledge and techniques teaching Writing skills.Writing skill focus on Fluency, Accuracy, Vocabulary, Grammar, Pattern Content.

In conclusion, today I have learned teaching method. Presentations of my friends have changed from last week. All presentation is well. After my friend presented I understand and know the meaning. It does can improve me about skills. That we can apply in writing lesson plans.

Learning log Inside Classroom

Inside Classroom

Today we’re going to present about English Teaching Methods that teacher told us to find the information about these in pair work. There are 3 groups to present that are belief, contented based learning, and problem based learning.
The first group is Belief of language teaching they start presented about it so I think Belief isn’t teaching methods but it is the principle or based for teaching like communicative approach. Teacher told students about belief. It isn’t true or false. Then belief is important for them to planning the lesson
The second Content based learning is a learner is successful when the focus is on content rather than on mastery of language. CBL integrates the learning of language with the learning of some other content. CBL is the method that can motivate students to learn more and learn faster. Students learn language and content within the context of authentic material and task. CBL is method that student learning by doing. So, CBL can help students to learn better.
The last group 3 to present about Problem based learning is the method that depends on the problems or conditions. Teacher gives the problem to students to learn how to solve the problem. In this method can help them to collaborative learning. It is great for students to practice analysis and critical thinking and self-directed learning.
To sum up, all of methods that we presented are important for teacher and students. It can help teacher to planning the lesson what method is appropriate for students. So, when I’m an English teacher.I will choose the main principle to design my teaching for teach student in the future.

Listening skill week 2

I'm broken, do you hear me?
I'm blinded, 'cause you are everything I see,
I'm dancin' alone, I'm praying,
That your heart will just turn around,

And as I walk up to your door,
My head turns to face the floor,
'Cause I can't look you in the eyes and say,

When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,
When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this,
Can love you more than this

If I'm louder, would you see me?
Would you lay down
In my arms and rescue me?
'Cause we are the same
You save me,
When you leave it's gone again,

And when I see you on the street,
In his arms, I get weak,
My body fails, I'm on my knees,
Prayin',

When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,
When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,

I've never had the words to say,
But now I'm askin' you to stay
For a little while inside my arms,
And as you close your eyes tonight,
I pray that you will see the light,
That's shining from the stars above,

(And I say)

When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this,

'Cause I can love you more than this, yeah

When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this, yeah,

When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight,
It just won't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this,

When he lays you down,
I might just die inside,
It just don't feel right,
'Cause I can love you more than this,
Can love you more than this

Death Toll from Libyan Clashes Rises to 31, Doctor Says

BENGHAZI — At least 31 people were killed in hours of clashes between protesters and a militia in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi on Saturday, a doctor said on Sunday.

The continued existence of myriad militias, nearly two years after the fall of Moammar Gadhafi, is a growing source of public resentment, but the authorities have relied on some armed groups to help keep order in a country awash in weapons.

Fighting broke out on Saturday when protesters, some armed, massed outside the headquarters of the Libya Shield brigade to demand the disbanding of the militias.

Order was only restored in Libya's second city after special forces seized the compound of the militia, which said it was operating with the defense ministry's approval.

“The death toll now stands at 31 as more people succumbed to their wounds this morning," a doctor at the al-Jalaa hospital said. "There are more than 100 injured, some very seriously."

The doctor did not say how many of the dead were protesters or militia. The military lost five men, a military source said late on Saturday.

There was a heavier than usual police presence in Benghazi on Sunday ahead of funerals for the dead.

Prime Minister Ali Zeidan announced an inquiry into the violence.

Resentment against the militias has built since armed groups laid siege to ministries in Tripoli last month to press demands.

Anger at the militias surged in Benghazi last September after the killing of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in an attack on the U.S. mission there.

Rebuilding in Moore After Deadly Tornado

From VOA Learning English, this is In the News.
People in Moore, Oklahoma, are starting to rebuild after a three-kilometer-wide tornado hit the city on Monday. Officials say the storm killed 24 people in Moore and nearby areas. More than 200 others were injured. President Obama declared a major disaster in Oklahoma. His declaration freed up federal money to help state officials with the recovery effort. Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin deployed the state National Guard and extra police to assist with rescue operations. She described the tornado as one of the “most horrific” disasters her state has ever faced.
“In many places, homes were absolutely destroyed, taken away. There’s just sticks and bricks, basically. It’s hard to tell if there was a structure there or not. If you get into some of the major neighborhoods, you can’t tell where the streets were. The street signs are gone. And that’s been a big challenge for us -- being able to determine which area of a community we might be in because the streets are just gone, the signs are just gone.”
Weather experts say the tornado had wind speeds of at least 322 kilometers an hour. It left a path of destruction stretching close to 30 kilometers. The storm flattened large parts of Moore, a city of 60,000 people. A record-setting tornado hit Moore in May of 1999.
On Monday Alfredo Corrales crowded into a small underground shelter with his family and a neighbor.
“Me and the neighbor were just holding on to the hatch, just to keep the door secure. And that wind was blowing over, and the wind was just sucking up on the door. And when it was doing that, the rain was just shooting down into the cellar. “The storm hit two elementary schools just as students were preparing to leave for the day. Both schools were crushed, leaving many children trapped in the wreckage.
“It was just thump, thump and the roof came off. And then I left something and then it was raining, clay on me and all that. “Rescue workers dug through the wreckage and pulled several children out alive.
Quick-thinking teachers are credited with saving lives by moving students to closed spaces before the storm destroyed the building. Sherry Biddle teaches at Briarwood. She described how she helped her students protect themselves. “I had them take their backpacks and put them over their heads, just as another safety precaution, as they were down in the center of our room, in the center of our building.”
But seven children were killed when the tornado destroyed Plaza Towers Elementary School.
Susan Pierce is superintendent of Moore public schools. She said many lives were saved because every school followed sheltering directions. “Our administrators, staff, teachers and students put our crisis plan into action immediately. We monitored the weather throughout the day and when it was time to shelter, we did just that. “Oklahoma officials say the current warning system provided enough time to prepare before the tornado hit. But many people lost everything they owned. There is debate about whether all schools in Oklahoma should be required to have tornado shelters. Some say even the best built shelter might not have protected against Monday's tornado. The National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF-5. That is the most powerful kind of storm on the five-level scale that measures a tornado’s power. It was the second deadliest tornado in the United States since 2011, when 161 people were killed in Joplin, Missouri Join us next Tuesday more about tornadoes on the VOA Learning English program Science in the News. That’s In The News. I’m Steve Ember. http://learningenglish.voanews.com/content/rebuilding-moore-oklahoma-tornado/1667800.html
